Sorry – long over due!
I spent 9 days in paradise at Grand Lido Negril for the Epicurean Escape and had 3 days between that trip and the Las Vegas trip to regroup and repack. That is my excuse!
Grand Lido Negril 7/08
The Epicurean event was a huge success. The hotel was full, the chefs and sommeliers did a fabulous job and the energy was electric. If you have traveled to Grand Lido Negril before, you know that is quite unusual. The disco was hopping until after 3am every night and the pros had as many as 13 in their classes. I met two of my regular traveling pros, Cyndy and her husband Peter (they team teach). Peter takes care of the powerwalk and some gym time since he is a personal trainer and Cyndy handles the classes. Also there that week was Erin who mainly teaches yoga. That is her in the picture with me and my husband Larry at the final dinner of the event.
I love the gym at Hedonism II, well I DID design it – but that is usually where I can be found in the mornings and I was able to spend some time with Joyce and Geri, two other regular traveling pros who were teaching there. It is so much fun finally meeting the pros. One of the girls recognized my voice from all the time we spent on the phone over the years and knew it was me.
I was also there to firm up plans for Fit Beach 2008 held in Negril November 3-8. This conference is similar to any other conference you might attend with a few exceptions:
1. all-inclusive accommodations discounted and we will find you a roommate if you want to share.
2. even if you do all the class times during the day, we created a gap of almost 3 hours after lunch for sun time, activity time or nap time!
3. classes wont fill up.

AND, I was working on another project in Negril. We are holding a YOGA WEEK at Couples Swept Away October 12-18 2008. We will have 3 yoga instructors there offering a variety of classes, meditations, couples yoga and other related workshops. The participants will receive amenities such as yoga mats with a carrying case, beach towels and t-shirts. This is not a teacher-training course but some of your class participants may want to travel during this event. Or you may want to come, bring your spouse and have a vacation while someone else works!!

I am heading for Jamaica on Tuesday – this time we are taking our sons and their girlfriends. You may have been in contact with Lisa in my office. She is my oldest son’s girlfriend and will be accompanying me on a few business related excursions. Other than that, we will be making this a vacation.
